I build scalable design systems by bridging the gaps between design and development. My work focuses on scalability, accessibility, and long-term maintainability rather than one-off solutions.
I evaluate design needs through a technical lens, partner closely with engineers to understand constraints and capabilities, and enable teams to identify reusable patterns that improve consistency and reduce complexity.
To drive adoption and uphold quality, I also create documentation, host office hours, and contribute to code reviews to ensure design and code stay aligned.
For nearly a decade, I’ve specialized in design systems and design integration, contributing to the evolution of the Alexa-enabled Amazon devices across multiple products and platforms. Earlier in my career, I designed and developed internal applications for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Seattle startups.
Outside of work, you can find me busy in cooking, hiking, or practicing a Japanese martial art called Kendo 剣道.
I also run a travel blog (written in Chinese) with my partner, documenting our road trips and outdoor explorations. The evergreen Pacific Northwest and the sun-baked Southwest have been my favorite destinations. I’m drawn to how different environments shape perception, rhythm, and experience.
